IAS Officers Fall 2024

 

Kishlaya Rastogi

President

Kishlaya Rastogi is a junior from Sugar Land, TX, majoring in Government and Sociology with minors in Business and History, and a Security Studies certificate. His academic focus is Indo-Pacific regional security, as well as foreign diplomacy and intelligence. He joined IAS for its close-knit community with diverse opinions. After graduation, he intends to pursue a master's program in global policy and security studies or a research position. In his free time, Kishlaya enjoys biking, listening to music, and traveling when possible.


Allison Frank

Vice President

Allison Frank is a junior studying History, Philosophy, German and Museum Studies. She lived overseas when she was younger and has loved travelling ever since, joining IAS to meet others interested in global studies and living abroad. In her free time she enjoys journalling, watching old movies, staying active and volunteering at the public library. She hopes to study library science and archiving after graduating.


Gavin Harris

Academics Director

Gavin Harris is a junior from Brooklyn, NY, studying International Relations and Plan II Honors with minors in National Security, Hindi, and Computer Science. He enjoys research on Indo-Pacific policy, especially South and Southeast Asia. After school, he hopes to continue work promoting American security interests. He joined IAS to be surrounded by people with similar yet diverse ambitions and to keep up with foreign affairs. He greatly loves music, history, reading, and exploring. 

Luke Ramcharita

Academics Chair

Luke Ramcharita is a sophomore from Euless, TX majoring in Government, minoring in International Business & National Security, and pursuing a Certificate in Security Studies. He is interested in learning about how US foreign policy, national security, and intelligence affects domestic politics. He joined IAS to be surrounded with like minded students who also have an interest in learning more about international affairs. Luke enjoys going to the gym, watching movies, and catching up on the latest foreign and domestic political events. 


Sydney Neal

Programs Co-Director

Sydney Neal is a sophomore majoring in economics and mathematics, and joined IAS to explore opportunities in national security, international economy, and diplomacy. She developed a great passion for travel and cultural exploration during the years she spent living abroad, and hopes to someday fuse it with her interest in economics to build an international career. In her free time, she enjoys reading, sewing, and origami.


Jack Mahoney

Programs Co-Director

Jackson Mahoney is a junior from Dallas majoring in History with minors in Government and Chinese at UT Austin. He is especially interested in political economy, theoretical approaches to international affairs, and the impact of historical developments on current events. He joined IAS to become more involved with events on campus and to meet peers with similar interests. In his free time, he enjoys reading, writing, running, listening to music, and talking with friends. He plans to attend graduate school.


Jessye Fan

Communications Director

Jessye Fan is a sophomore from Sugar Land, TX, majoring in Advertising and pursuing a minor in Business. Her interests include the environment, politics, and Europe/Asia. Outside of IAS, Jessye is involved in Liberal Arts Council and Innovations for Peace & Development. She joined IAS as a way to meet others interested in global affairs and find ways to reach out to students about such topics. In her free time, Jessye can be found playing ultimate frisbee, listening to music, and reading the Atlantic articles.


Moyu Yumoto

Socials Director

Moyu Yumoto is a sophomore from south of Tokyo, Japan, and Houston, TX, studying History and International Relations & Global Studies. Her academic focus centers on East Asian Foreign Policy, particularly US-Japan Relations, and International Security. She hopes to one day return to Japan and work to bridge better US-Japan Relations. Moyu joined IAS to meet other people at UT interested in international relations and learning about different cultures. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and baking, listening to classical music, and visiting art museums.
